As third-generation home builders in the Greater Cincinnati area, we know how you and your family feel about your home depends a lot on how you feel about your community. Having an abundance of great places for your family to enjoy together is one of the best parts about this area. For us at Wieland Builders, family first is not just a slogan. We value our family and we value yours, which is why we are thrilled to be able to give back to non-profit organizations that help build our strong community, including the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s annual fundraiser, Zoofari.
Cincinnati is home to the second oldest Zoo in the United States and it’s known as one of the best. Our Zoo cares for more than 500 animal and 3,000 plant species, including its most famous resident, Fiona, and its newest baby giraffe, Fennessy. In addition to the Zoo’s ground-breaking conservation efforts, its educational outreach programs reach more than 330,000 students annually. Stewarding these programs is expensive, which is why the Zoo supplements its income from tax dollars and memberships with events like Zoofari.
One of the most unique galas in town, Zoofari is a masquerade ball that takes place under a 60,000 square-foot tent. The evening features dinner by-the-bite from more than 70 top restaurants, a full bar, live entertainment and dancing under the stars. Guests are also delighted by 30 up-close animal encounters. This year’s event chairs are Lisa and Tim Massa (of Kroger), and it takes place September 13. A limited number of tickets are still available. The cost for members is $50 per ticket, and non-members pay $250.
