Wieland was proud to participate in Homearama 2018 as one of its premier home builders. Not only were we able to demonstrate the quality of the custom homes we build for our clients, but we also had the opportunities to build relationships with new clients, connect with other homebuilding professionals, and give back to one of the Greater Cincinnati areas where we do business.

This year marks the 55th year for Homearama’s showcase of exquisitely designed custom homes featuring fine home furnishings and modern interior designs. Wieland Builders was selected as one of six builders whose custom homes were featured at Homearama. Homes ranging in value from $1 million to more than $2 million were featured in this year’s event, which took place July 21 through August 5, 2018, at the Highlands at Heritage Hill subdivision in Union Township, Warren County, Ohio.

Wieland Builders’ home on display at Homearama was the 5,175 sq. ft. Ashby Manor, a traditional southern style two-story farmhouse with a finished lower level, covered front porch area, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, great room, and hidden three-bay garage. The exterior featured a blend of sandstone and traditional wood clapboard siding in gray tones with white trim and dormer windows that accented the pitched roof line.

The home’s design turned out to be award-winning as determined by visitors who toured the showcase of homes. Ashby Manor’s outstanding design earned eight awards at Homearama. Besides earning the Favorite Home award, Wieland also earned First Place awards for Favorite Kitchen, Great Room, Master Suite, Bathroom, Dining Room, Outdoor Living, and Exterior. The Ashby Manor home has a market value of $1,275,000. Sale of the home closed shortly after Homearama ended on August 5.

Wieland Builders also devoted time to giving back to our community to help people in need. As part of the event’s two weeks’ worth of activities and community give-back, we sponsored a Pink House Party on Saturday, July 28. This evening event consisting of food, friends, and fun raised more than $1,500.00 for Pink Ribbon Girls, a Cincinnati-area nonprofit that provides support to women who are breast cancer patients and survivors. Through the support generated by our event, dozens of meals will be prepared and delivered, homes will be cleaned, and transportation to treatments will be given to breast cancer patients and their families, with the effect of making their burden of living with cancer a little lighter.

Altogether, Homearama brought out the best that Wieland Builders has to offer in terms of our home design, custom craftsmanship, customer service, all the ways in which we contribute to our thriving local communities, and the ways in which we can help local people in need.
